About the event
TThis class will cover the following: history, ammunition, the importance of the barrel twist, the pros and cons of AR use for personal home defense and loading/unloading. By the end of this class, you will know how to load/unload an AR platform, disassemble/reassemble and name all the parts in the upper receiver.
The class will focus on AR-15 nomenclature, the assembly/disassembly of the rifle as well as the proper loading and unloading procedures, instruction on the use of the mechanical safety and how to safely and correctly change the magazine. Instruction will focus on zeroing and marksmanship. Learning about the basic rifle positions will in turn help you with marksmanship.
Live fire excercises will be held at the Fish House range. A total of 100 rounds are required for this course.
